Forgive Me

For all the times I’ve been unkind

Or hurt you in some way,

For all the times I could have been

A blessing to your day.

For all the times I meant to be,

And all the times I’ve failed to,

Please say that you’ll forgive me

And know that I still love you.

From the Poet: How many times did Jesus say we are to forgive? Seventy times seven (Matthew 18:22) and don't let the day end without asking forgiveness and mending that relationship, so as not to give aid to the enemy who seeks to divide! (Ephesians 4:26-27)

Treasure Each Day

Each day is a treasure and must not be spent, in selfish abandon or mindless content.

Think, as the sun sets at the end of each day; was it worthy of Jesus or wasted away?

From the Poet: Ed has become an excellent photographer and the photos on this page and others are just a sample of his work. He provides the photo, I provide the poem, working as a team! God is good!!

                       My Treasure

Into this world with naught came I, a sinner in God's sight.

The treasures of this world, I sought, and held on to them tight..

Yet none of them can give to me, salvation or release,

I must surrender all you see, to rest in Jesus' peace.

To follow Christ's  example, perfection is my goal,

To press on ever upward, rejoicing in my soul.

To store up things of this world, will gain me naught at all.

I must be quick to answer, when I hear the Savior's call.

I pray that God will guide me, His spirit in me dwell,

That I may walk beside Him, and serve my Master well.

God is Ever Near

To know that God is ever near,

Gives strength when I am weak.

Gives hope when I am in despair,

A friend with whom I speak.

In talks with God, through prayer and praise,

I ask for His direction.

I promise to obey His will,

I promise Him subjection.

If, then, I worry, fret and languish,

Have I my Lord obeyed?

Have I foolishly  forgotten,

And been by Satan swayed?

With God all things are possible,

Without Him, nothing gained.

And if I trust in Him alone,

My trust is not in vain.
