Holy Family Catholic High School Named 2023 National Blue Ribbon School

Holy Family Catholic High School Named 2023 National Blue Ribbon School

This week, Holy Family Catholic High School, which consistently ranks as one of the best private high schools in Minnesota, was named by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student groups on assessments.

U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona applauded 2023 National Blue Ribbon School awardees for setting "a national example for what it means to raise the bar in education." While schools are recognized for their overall student performance, nominated schools also complete an extensive narrative application describing their school culture and philosophy, curriculum, assessments, instructional practices, professional development, leadership structures, and parent and community involvement.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program, now in its 40th cohort, has conferred approximately 10,000 awards to more than 9,700 schools nationwide. These schools reflect the diverse landscape of American education, serving students from all walks of life. The Council for American Private Education (CAPE) nominates non-public schools, including parochial and independent schools. Holy Family is one of 40 private schools in the country to be recognized this year and one of two high schools in Minnesota.
